We're looking for an intermediate industrial designer

We're looking for a creative, pragmatic person who knows how to bring a great idea to reality. Our new industrial designer will be responsible for developing custom elements for large-scale urban projects, and for contributing to the materialization of our customers' brand by designing signage and markers or installations.

The ideal candidate is passionate about urban design, loves teamwork, challenging the status quo and always puts people first.

Responsibilities 

  • Collaborating with the design team to develop street furniture, permanent, temporary and transitory installations, signage elements and various products;
  • Analyzing the context for built intervention;
  • Proposing a strategic approach in relation to project intentions;
  • Producing sketches, illustrations and 3D modeling depending on project needs;
  • Assisting in the development of models and prototypes;
  • Participating in client presentations;
  • Participating in the technical development of products/projects; 
  • Producing technical drawings and production documents for manufacturing;
  • Preparing positioning plans for installation.

Requirements

  • Team spirit and positive attitude!
  • Bachelor's degree (or other relevant training) in industrial design;
  • 5 to 7 years' experience in industrial design;
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D design;
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanics and manufacturing processes;
  • Good understanding of materials and their characteristics: metal, wood, plastic, concrete;
  • Excellent knowledge of the following software: SolidWorks, C4D, AutoCAD;
  • Attention to detail (we're a bit obsessed with quality!);
  • Excellent management of time and priorities; 
  • Fluent in English and French.
