Our contribution to the interactive experience of Cité Mémoire took form as cartographic steles spread out all across Old Montreal. Functioning as visual landmarks throughout a circuit of projections, the steles guide visitors and tourists in their discovery of Montréal’s heritage.

Dual-purpose

In addition to pinpointing the location of the nocturnal tableaux, the maps allow for the quick recognition of nearby sites and historical landmarks illustrated on them. The steles have since surpassed their initial function. They now serve as tools to aid tourists in navigating Old Montreal and its many attractions.
